Terrific turnout from the ladies last time, hoping for the same this time!
A welcome development by your hard working committee this year has been the inclusion of 6 rounds at the splendid, walking only Cengkareng course out on the airport Jalan Tol, a delight to get to and from South Jakarta thanks to the JORR.
Our first visit there was a great success even though we flooded the course with 65 Tee Setters and rounds were generally to take more than 5 hours. Management have assured us that steps have and are being taken, including advancing our first tee time to 12:04 from 1 & 10, and that things will be much better this time!
Cengkareng’s top class frozen Margaritas will be available once again both on and off the course and by the glass or jug. We will advise the special pricing available to Tee Setters when we send out the handicaps and groupings on Saturday morning.
Given the size of the field and the need to get us all round in a reasonable time, flights and flight times will once again be pre-ordained and advised at the same time as the Margarita pricing!
Green fees are just 750,000. With over 40 already signed up against an agreed maximum of 60 players, we would encourage you to sign up just as soon as possible if you have not already. No tears.
Tee Set Matchplay
All the first round sort out matches have now been decided and we march on to the knock-out stages. Matchplay Supremo James Ross is doing a fine job getting things moving along and indeed keeping the Matchplay web page fully up to date and relevant, pop over there to find your next opponent.
33 of 46 participating Tee Setters have already paid their participation fee; if you are in the “unlucky” 13 then please settle with Brenda next time you see her. We know who you are and where you live 🙂
Tee Set bag tags
After some technical adjustments, these are now in final production and we hope to be able to distribute at Cengkareng. Only 17 of the 42 ordered have been paid for as yet, so please make sure to bring your purse along on Sunday.
Old Newsletters
The VP of Almost Everything has been rummaging through his company’s server and turning up a treasure chest of classic old Newsletters and we published the first of these earlier this week. As we had hoped, this was to evoke some delightful responses from a couple of “old” Tee Setters.
We plan to publish all the old ones we can dig up at an amiable sort of pace and, as adding each new post automatically generates an e-mail, we hope you will bear with us, we suspect they are of interest to many.
‘Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it’ ….
George Santayana was clearly not a Tee Setter otherwise he would have added “every Sunday”.
See ya soon for Margaritas! …. Tee Set
Special Deals for Tee Setters and Your Families
We will have a number of special deals coming up for Tee Setters based on presentation of new Tee Set membership cards which will be ready in the next month. One you don’t need a card for is the special rate schedule offered by Riverside Golf Club. Just tell them we sent you!
