Tee Set’s second annual World Cup of Golf has arrived!!. Won last year by the Ladies of Indonesia, they will be looking to retain bragging rights and the Trophy at this year’s event to be played over the next two week-ends at Cengkareng on 8th and 15th October. It will also be a first opportunity for us to play the new holes at Cengkareng which opened 5 weeks ago after our last visit.
Teams consist of 4 players and as a reminder these should be built on a geographical basis. We can have more than 1 side representing a country. Indonesia should be joined by at least several Australian sides as well as teams from Czech Republic, South Africa, UK, Germany, perhaps a Viking representation and the USA. Initiatives to create the teams come from yourselves so please get together and decide your captains and team members.
The winners will be calculated over the 2 week-ends. This week each team plays as 2 teams of 2-ball pairs and being scored based on their 2-ball better ball stableford scores. Next week, play will be as 4 singles with the 3 best stableford scores counting towards the results. The winning team will have the highest 5 stableford point scores combined over the 2 weeks so there will be limited prize giving this week.
New to Tee Set or do not have enough for a team? No problems, the Tee Set organizers will put together some “UN” sides from players not otherwise affiliated with other teams at the time of signing up.
Please sign up here as usual and in the comments section add your country and team members if these have been organized. All team members should sign up separately please. Price is the ever reasonable Rp750,000 walking with hover-boards available for an additional charge if you prefer to surf the fairways.

First up following the World Cup of Tee Set are 2 popular Golfing days, the Rob Peetoom sponsored Indonesia Amateur Event in Bali over the week-end of 21-22 October followed by the BWA sponsored Pink Golf Day in aid of Breast Cancer at Matoa on 25th October.
For those wishing a more cultured evening of Scottish fare, Saturday 28th October is the annual whisky tasting event held by the St Andrew’s Society. More details on all these events are here.

roger by putting it over two weeks you have limited entrants as some people cant play both sundays so cant put in team the same for two weeks in a row just a comment
I would further add that a sign-up sheet for teams could be put on the website 3 or more months in advance so teams can better coordinate. People can commit further in advance which would make the coordination of teams easier. As Mark said, the break-up over two sequential weekends may cause some to forgo joining as they cannot commit to two weekends in a row. If the provisional rules for handling such cases were published, perhaps more would join. 35 players signing up is very low, imho, for a course that has regularly 50+ TeeSet players flocking to it on a normal event.
