Sunday 8th December 2019 Jagorawi New

The Day & The Play

A flurry of late call offs culled our already smallish group in half on Sunday morning which resulted in only 10 Tee Setters turning out on Sunday at the beautiful but challenging Jagorawi New Course. GM Arron Cole and his team were on hand to look after us well with an early start time and caddies all lined up ready for when we had all had a pre-round bite to eat and catch-up.

The course was in great shape with the rains having freshened up the grass and the greens were running smoothly as always. The challenge of the course was reflected in everyone scoring at least a 7 on one hole. Our two 3 balls got round in great time, just beating the rain which caught our 4-ball but they still managed to finish in good time after the short shower.

With only 10 players, everyone got a mention in the results one way or another and being Matt Otto’s last round before heading out to Mexico for his next assignment, we decided to forego the usual presentations and put all the funds towards a couple of jugs of beer to wish Matt Bon Voyage and best wishes in his next assignment.

Next Up: Cengkareng Monthly Medal and Rd IV Eclectic XI Sunday 15th December 2019

This Sunday we head back to one of Jakarta’s finest courses and one of Tee Set’s most popular venues, Cengkareng, home for Tee Set’s Monthly Medal for 2019.

In addition to being the final Monthly Medal of 2019, this week will also be the 4th and final round of Cycle XI of the Tee Set Eclectic. With Cycle X winner, Matthew Powell, having departed Jakarta, we will definitely have a new winner: will it be another new name on the Trophy or will one of our past Champions rise to the occasion again.? Details of the current standings are here.

Whilst there is a lot to attract players for this week, we also welcome those who just wish to enjoy a pleasant trip across the rolling fairways, guided round by Cengkareng’s well trained caddies and then to sit and enjoy one of its famous Margaritas to cool you down afterwards.

If you are able to join us for a very reasonable Rp850,000 walking please sign up here. Tee time is 12pm as usual.

Reminder: For those who would prefer not to walk, in addition to the hover boards to glide across the rolling fairways, Cengkareng has available a limited number of golf carts. If you wish to reserve one please contact the Golf reservations staff at Cengkareng directly. As the carts are limited in number and we do not have visibility to those already booked on the day, your Tee Set Committee is not involved to the reservation of the carts

Dear Roger, your Headline is a bit missleading, because I thought the next Game “December 15 is at Jagorawi”. But after reading through it, i realized it was already past “means December 8th”. So December 15th will be at Cengkareng? Please correct me, if i am wrong.

    Cheers

    Michael
