The Kojo TeeSet Monthly Medal

Two medals for 2026.. Tim takes the prize with a cracking 46 Stableford points. He saw off strong challenges from Christian and Shayam who both card 45 points. with 2 other golfers also in the 40s and 7 others over 36.

Once again The Manor proved it can be tamed and if you need a Lion Tamer speak to Vijay he has escorted both Frank and Shayam on their glorious rounds over the last two months. Vijay confided in me that it was all due to him that those superb rounds were carded. Never confide in someone who has a job in the media. But for a small fee Vijay will accompany you at next months Medal. Money well spent I say.

The conditions once again were perfect and the greens at the Manor are slowly returning to their once glorious conditions. The fairways were losing a tinge of green as this long dry spell takes effect on the golf courses of Jakarta. This meant well played drives were rewarded with lots of run. Tee it low.

With a largish turnout we may have been chasing the light but speed of pay was reasonable and all made it home before the lights went out. Speaking of lights. Is the Manor planning on becoming a night course also. Construction of light towers down the 18th hole suggest that well may be on the cards.

TeeSet Match Play saw strong wins to Craig E. run away in his match with Frank. On the other side of the course Tim could not doing anything wrong and used his high handicap to great success to knockout JP. A booming drive from Ollie looked like it was sailing greenwards on the 9th only for the ball to not be found. Suspicion was pointed in the direction of the 4 ball in front who may have been a bit miffed when such a glorious drive rolls past their second and third shots. This may have resulted in said ball been tossed into a garden bed or placed into a pocket. We will never know. Jens was in search of a shaft to replace a busted one. Others were in search of birdies and eagle of which we had a few of the former and one of the later.

Well done Matt with the eagle on the eagle friendly 5. A cracking index 2 hole from the white tees. (-:

A few golfers were backing up from the Pocksia game on Sunday and the golf and festivities of the Saturday seemed to impact most of the their games in a slightly negative manner. Now on my second hangover and minimal sleep I found conditions far nicer on the Sunday. If it doesn’t kill you it will just make you stronger, unless it’s polio.

Who else gets their photo in the report?

Low gross and long drive go to Daniel with a 79 off the stick and a drive into a strong wind of 235 metres. Well done.

The perennial winner of the ladies long drive, Shinta with a nice tap of 178 metres

Mike takes nearest the pin with a shot that was in birdie range at 270cm from the hole

laurent was not quite in birdie range but did enough to take the ladies nearest the pin prize. Well done.
