On the last Sunday of the month the in set of the golf set gather for the TeeSet Monthly Medal. Last Sunday The Manor presented itself in all of its glory. The fairways were trimmed the greens were immaculate and bunkers well sanded. To top the day off Mother Nature presented TeeSetters with glorious golfing conditions.
The ladies and men of TeeSet grabbed hold of what the golfing gods had on offer with both hands and golfed on with relish. The greens were fast and the pace of play was fast. So fast that we chased down some of the early starters. A light cloud cover and fresh breeze blowing in from Jakarta Bay kept golfers fresh and we made the most of those conditions. With 20% of the field getting 40 or more Stableford points and another 20% playing to their handicap or better.
The first hole of one group, saw a birdie, a birdie denied by the pin, a par, and a duffer with a double. The birdies rained down like manna from heaven and a par was always just around the corner. The battle for the medal was well and truly on. Six players returned to the club house with high hopes after racking up big points 4 on 41 points, 1 on 42 points and 1 on an unbelievable 46 points.
Frank Pan entered the 70’s for the first time in his golfing career. He didn’t just enter the 70s, he kicked the front door down with a glorious round of 74 off the stick, a nett 62 and 46 Stableford points to boot. Truly one of TeeSet’s finest Monthly Medal Rounds.
Let’s get to the winners handled with great aplumb by Senior Committeeman Bill Lloyd.

Winner: FRANK #46

Well done Daniel with a fine gross 78

280 metre mark is where Daniel landed his ball on Sunday.

Shinta took the ladies long drive with an impressive 190 metres

Trisna had the swing of things on Sunday winning NTP 2.21m
Bill won the white feet award an absent Hitoshi made Bill a shoe in.
Matchplay Championship
We had 3 games on the is Sunday. With members of the Glorious TeeSet JIL Team taking part in all of them, and of course winning. First up we had Trisna beating Capt. Arnold 2 & 1 in a close match (TeeSet had both players). Next up in an equally challenging game we had Daniel winning against Jens also 2 & 1. In the final match a rampant Frank prevailed over a valiant Vijay 6 & 5.
Last Friday Tom & Eli tied their battle will continue to another course.
If you are still in the competition we would like to have these games wrapped up by mid July and preferably on a TeeSet Sunday. A player electing to play on a Sunday will take precedence over a player wishing to play their game on another day in the situation where a game could not be played due to scheduling issues.
Sunday the 5th at Halim Golf
TeeSet return to the new favorite of many a golfer this Sunday. Halim, sensible prices for sensible golfers. Close to town easy to get to and a challenging layout. See you there. Sign up on MyGolf2U. Down load the app at your HP provider store.
It’s late, I am tired, I haven’t slept since I realised I hit 1 under over 9 holes last Sunday. It is the ongoing nightmare of the other 9 that keeps me awake.
